William G. Narhi

Traprock Valley: William G. Narhi, 73, of Sievi Road in Traprock Valley, passed away at his home on the farm, surrounded by family, after a long battle with cancer, on April 30, 2023.

                He was born on September 1, 1949, a son of Donald and Aleen Narhi.  He was a graduate of Jeffers High School.

                He was an employee of Northern Hardwoods for over 30 years.

                He was married to Janis Narhi for almost 38 years.  Janis passed on September 18, 2014. William was now devoted to life-partner, Beth Davis.

                He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, nature, and life on the farm.

                He was preceded in death by: his parents, brother-Leslie Narhi, and 2 sisters-Donna Narhi and Lynn Waara.

                William is survived by: 2 sons-Jonathan (Melanie) Narhi of Lake Linden and James (Angela Anderson) Narhi of the farm; life-partner-Beth Davis; 6 grandkids-Dylan (Kaitlyn) Cruickshank of Bootjack, Syvanna Cruickshank, Dallas (Meredith) Narhi, Kaylyn Narhi, Alysha Narhi, and Kelsey (Devon) Narhi; 4 great-grandchildren-Xavior, Lucas, Isabella, and Emma; 3 sisters-Vickie (DeWayne) Harrison, Patricia Heikell, Linda (Arthur) Baratono; brother-in-law-Jim Waara; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

                The memorial service will be at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, May 12 at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden with Reverend Bryan Lundquist to officiate.  Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until the start of the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be at the Waasa Cemetery.
