Lake Linden: Vickie VerBerkmoes, 83, a resident of Lake Linden, passed away October 5, 2014 at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock.
She was born November 26, 1930 to Edgar and Lula (Vaughn) Wilson in Russellville, Alabama. Vickie is survived by her husband-Henry; and their five children-Leland (Dawn), Lelie (Jim), Nannette, Lisa (Dave), and Stephanie (Joe).
She delighted in her grandchildren-Chad (Liss), Kyle (Sarah), Casey, Jenny (Greg), Rhiannon (Landon), Derek (Danielle), Missy (Sven), Heather, Nathan, Morgan, Adam, Sydney, Jackson, Savannah, and Skyler, and also her 13 great-grandchildren.
Vickie was a gentle, benevolent, caring person who always put the needs of others before her own. May she rest in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is assisting the family with arrangements.
