Steven Bernard Westerberg

Lake Linden: Steven Bernard Westerberg, 72, of Lake Linden, passed away at home on August 2, 2025.

                He was born on August 15, 1952 in Hancock, Michigan, a son of M. Dorothy (Kupari) and Bernard Westerberg.  He attended the Michigan School for the Deaf in Flint, Michigan, graduating in 1971.

                Steve was an auto body repairman at Lindrus Chevrolet in Hancock and in Mesa, Arizona when he resided there.

                He was united in marriage to Rosemary Atkinson on June 26, 1976.

                He was an avid Elvis Presley fan for most of his life, after hearing his music first when he was regaining his hearing.  He enjoyed playing pool and played on pool leagues.

                He was preceded in death by: his wife-Rosemary, father-Bernard, sister-Jodi Vichich, and brothers-Ronald and Glen Westerberg.

                Steve is survived by: mother-Dorothy of Hubbell; twin sister-Sandy Judson of Cedarburg, WI, brother-Gary (Kari) Westerberg of Lake Linden, sister-Gayle (Andre) Soumis of L’Anse, and sister-Valerie (Paul) Colombe of Grand Rapids; step-daughters-Victoria Stoliker and Karla Vaughn of Arizona; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

               There will be no visitation or funeral.  The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.
