Scott William Murphy

Calumet: Scott William Murphy, 54, passed away peacefully, from heart complications, at his home on December 29, 2021.

Scott was born on March 11, 1967.  Scott was the second oldest son of James and Sharon (DuLong) Murphy.  He attended Lake Linden Elementary School and later moved to DePere, WI for a short time, before returning to the U.P.

Scott enjoyed fishing and the outdoors with his beloved pets, Rosco and Binky.

For a short period of time, Scott worked on the Mississippi Barges.  Afterwards, he was a drywaller in Aspen, Colorado, which he took great pride in.
Scott was preceded in death by: parents-James and Sharon Murphy; grandparents-Weldon and Janet DuLong and Hal and Harriet Murphy.
He is survived by: siblings- James L. Murphy, Robert T. Murphy, Kelly S. (Brandon) Schroyer and twin sister Kerri A.(Michael) Luoma, and Greg (Cora) Murphy; along with special nephew and niece-Christopher and Antrisha Luoma and their children-Paitynn (11), Emmett (8), Harper (4), and Maisie (2). 

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.  The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.
