Tamarack City: Ruth M. Hebert, 97, passed away on July 3, 2015 at Our Lady of Mercy in Hubbell.
She was born on February 12, 1918, a daughter of Edward and Lumina (Frenette) Hebert. She graduated from Dollar Bay High School. She worked as a secretary at Michigan Tech for many years until her retirement.
She was a member of Saint Cecilia Catholic Church in Hubbell until it closed. She was currently a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden and she had been a member of the Altar Society. She was a member of MARSP, and was one of the oldest living members of the Michigan Tech Employees Federal Credit Union. She supported: The Foundation Fighting Blindness and American Council of the Blind.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and six sisters.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 8, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden with Fr. Francis Dobrzenski to officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday morning from 10:00 until 10:30 A.M. at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden. Burial will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
