Hubbell: Raymond H. Dube, Jr, 62, of Hubbell, passed away at Our Lady of Mercy Health and Rehab in Hubbell on March 31, 2016, with family by his side.
He was born on September 11, 1953, a son of Raymond and Melvina (Guilbault) Dube. He attended schools in Maryland and Lake Linden-Hubbell High School. He enlisted in the US Marines in 1972. He moved to Sheboygan, WI to work as a carpenter. Later, he moved to New Hampshire before returning to the Copper Country.
He was married to Lisa Kaat and they had a daughter-Melanie; later he was married to Lori Geshel and they had a daughter-Jocelyn.
Raymond was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Hubbell until it closed. He was currently a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden. He had been a member of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post 90. He loved fishing, hunting, and woodworking. He was a sports fan, especially the Packers and the Red Wings. He loved animals of all kinds.
He was preceded in death by: his father-Raymond.
He is survived by: 2 daughters-Melanie Dube-Saxon (Waylon Saxon) of Sheboygan, WI and Jocelyn (Keith) Sever of Hubbell; 5 grandchildren-Iris, Belle, Brady, Jordana, and Korbin; mother-Melvina of Hubbell; brothers and sisters-Sharon (Tom) Codere of Lake Linden, Michael (Kathy) Dube of Beulah, MI, Mary (Jerry) Schmitt of Hubbell, James (Mitzi) Dube of Hubbell, and Daniel (Terry) Dube of Allouez Twp; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden with Father Francis Dobrzenski to officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday morning, from 10:00 AM until noon at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden. Spring Burial will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
