Noralee "Nora" Britz

Lake Linden: Noralee “Nora” Britz, 74, of Lake Linden, passed away after a lengthy illness, with family by her side, at Canal View Houghton County on July 18, 2025.

                Nora was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1950, a daughter of William and Eunice (Pepin) Neber.  She graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in 1968.

                She worked for Community Action, Houghton County Medical Care, Dollar Tree at the Mall, and Walmart of Houghton.

                Nora was married to Alfred Britz and they had three sons.  They parted ways but remained friends.

                Nora enjoyed trips to the casino and playing scratch-off tickets.  She loved to fish at Dreamland.  She also sang with her sister in music groups that performed around the area.

                Nora was preceded in death by: her parents, son-Mark, brother-Ronald Neber, a niece-Kelly, and grandmother-Albina Pepin-who she was very close to.

                She is survived by: 2 sons-John (Tammy) Britz of Chassell and Rodney Britz of Hancock, 4 grandchildren-Brianna (Brad), Colton, Kyle, and Skylar; 3 great-grandchildren-Dawn, John, and Walker; sister-Darlene (Keith) Raffaelli of Lake Linden; sister-in-law-Mary Neber of Detroit; friends Hope Haaland and Goudrun (Daryl) St. John; and many other relatives and friends.

                Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, July 25 at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden with the Funeral Liturgy at 7:00 P.M. with Father Raju Jose to officiate.  Burial will be at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Houghton.
