Jacobsville: Nancy Gruber, 75, of Jacobsville, passed away while surrounded by her family on May 30, 2014.
She was born on February 23, 1939, a daughter of Winfield and Ruth (Rein) Drake. After the passing of Winfield, she was raised by her step-father, Frank Crnkovich.
Nancy will always be remembered by her family and friends. She worked as a homemaker and loved her family very much. She loved crafting and shopping and she would often buy little things for her grandchildren.
She is survived by: 3 children: daughters-Billie Jo Guzman of Lake Linden, Pattie Jo (Robert) Sanford of Severn, MD, and son, Leo Gruber of Laurium; 3 siblings-sister-Kay Ann Mansour of Phoenix, AZ, Frank “Butch” (Vicki) Crnkovich of Calumet, and Edward (Tina) Crnkovich of Houghton; 7 grandchildren-Natalie (Patrick) Rogan, Adam Guzman, Anthony Sevon, Brandy Gruber, Kelley Gruber, Hannah Gruber, and LCpl Shawn (Cynthia) Sanford; 3 great grandchildren- Ashton Marttila, Waylon Downey, and Riley Rogan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 PM on July 12, at the Jacobsville Community Center. The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is assisting with arrangements.
