Nancy Carol Dairo

Hubbell: Nancy (Learmont) Dairo, 80, resident of Hubbell, passed away peacefully, after a long illness, with her family by her side, at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital on October 21, 2023.

                She was born on September 15, 1943, a daughter of Oliver and Myrl (Goldsworthy) Learmont.

                She graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in 1961.  She worked as a nurse aide at Our Lady of Mercy.  She went to the former Calumet Public Hospital where she held many positions until her retirement from Aspirus Keweenaw.

                She was married to James Dairo in Calumet on May 23, 1964.

                Nancy loved to clean and enjoyed creating numerous crafts.

                She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother-James. And a sister-Virginia.

                Nancy was survived by: her husband of 59 years-James Dairo; 2 children-David (Denise) Dairo of Bootjack and Peggy Dairo of Hubbell; a brother-Thomas Learmont; and numerous other relatives.

                The graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 30, 2023 at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Lake Linden with Pastor Jared Howard to officiate.  The Pearce Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
