Mary Patricia Myers

Lake Linden/Hubbell: Mary Patricia Myers, 80, well-known local business owner, of Lake Linden/Hubbell, passed away at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital on July 20, 2023, after a short illness.

                She was born on February 11, 1943, a daughter of Norbert and Patricia (Nulty) Buschell.  She lived in Lake Linden until age 7, when her family relocated to Ypsilanti, Michigan.  She graduated from Saint John the Baptist High School in 1961.  She completed LPN training in 1963 and began her career as a surgical technologist.  In 1964, Mary Pat met and married Robert Myers; and they started their family together.  In 1976, they purchased the party store in Hubbell and operated it until retiring in 2016.

                She was proud of her cribbage league accomplishments.  She enjoyed socializing wither friends and neighbors.

                She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter-Julie in 1995, and her husband-Robert in 2016.

                She is survived by: 2 sons-Robert (Mary) of Lake Linden and Joe of Hubbell; grandchildren-Tony, Patrick, and William and step-grandchild-Zachary Brogan; brothers-Mike of Cadillac and Tim of Lake Linden; and sister- Sally of Lake Linden.

                The graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden with Fr. Raju Jose to officiate.  The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.
