Mabel P. Goninan

             Lake Linden: Mabel P. Goninan, 81, of Lake Linden, passed away on April 26, 2018 at The Lighthouse at Hubbell. 

                Mabel was born on July 18, 1936 in Flint, MI, a daughter of John and Hazel Ziegler.  She was married to Lloyd Goninan on February 27, 1995 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden. 

                She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she assisted with funeral lunches.

                She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter-Deborah Bennett, and a sister-Betty Davis.

                She is survived by: her husband-Lloyd; 2 sons-Verncil (Cathy) Uricek and Brian (Carla) Uricek; grandchildren-Edwin Boria, Jr. and Sara Uricek; a brother-Gerald Ziegler of Sarasota, FL; a sister-Bonnie Connery of Carson City, NV; special nephew-Dennis (Cheryl) Guck of Garden City; special friend-Tammy (Butch) Stipe of Negaunee; and several nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 1, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden with Fr. Joseph Boakye Yiadom to officiate.  The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.  Burial will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
