Lillian Kay Jukkala

Lillian Kay Jukkala, 79, of Hubbell, passed away at our Lady of Mercy in Hubbell on August 13, 2024. 

She was born on June 7, 1945, a daughter of Toivo and Evelyn (Eliason) Jukkala.

Lillian began working for L'Anse Area Schools in 1972. She worked for about 30 years in the positions of head baker, cook, and janitor. She took pride in each position. 

Surviving are her daughter, Angela; her grandsons, Kyle and Eric; a sister, Arlene Cress of Aura; and a brother, Douglas (Jodie) Jukkala of L'Anse. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Beverly Jukkala and Christine "Cricky" Jukkala.
