Lake Linden: Keith DesJardin, 67, of Lake Linden, loving son, brother, and friend to many, died on March 1, 2015, at the Omega House, after a brief stay.
Keith was born and raised in Lake Linden, where he attended Saint Joseph Catholic Elementary School. He was a 1965 graduate of Lake Linden-Hubbell High School and spent his career employed at the Hancock Quality where he worked for 23 years. Keith was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden as-well-as a lifetime member of the Lake Linden-Hubbell Sportsman’s Association.
He was preceded in death by: his father-Eugene, his mother-Dorothy (Dulong), and his brother and best friend-Allan.
Keith was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and trap-shooting. He also enjoyed playing his autoharp. Keith was always willing to help anyone with anything, and, along with Allan, enjoyed teaching hunter’s safety to area youth. When weather permitted, Keith spent time visiting his Aunt Mary “Marie” Geshel on her front porch, sharing stories with neighbors and friends.
Keith is survived by: his aunt-Mary “Marie” Geshel, and numerous cousins and friends.
Keith’s family would like to thank the employees and the volunteers of the Omega House for their care and comfort in his final days.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 5, at Saint Joseph Church with Fr. Francis Dobrzenski to officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 4, from 2:00 until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 until 8:00 PM with a parish prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden.
