Obituary
Lake Linden/Calumet: Karl Peter Englund, 49, of Lake Linden and Calumet, passed away suddenly in Lake Linden on January 12, 2023.
He was born November 16, 1973, a son of Vicki Englund and the late Peter K. Englund. He attended the local Lake Linden-Hubbell High School, graduating in 1991. At age 18, he graduated from the Minneapolis School of Drafting and he worked for many different firms around the country as an architectural/structural CAD draftsman.
He was married to JoAn Ganzer. She passed away in 2020.
Karl enjoyed life and the outdoors.
He is survived by: his mother-Vicki of Lake Linden; sister-Jayne (Dan) of Park Falls, WI; brother-Andy of Grand Rapids, MI; nephew-Brandon Bauman (Hannah) of Plainview, MN; their children-Rylee, Kahlan, and Lacy; Nieces-Carrie Bauman of Plainview, MN, Sarah (Jacob) Parker and children of Texas, and Mary Newman and son-Clayton of Colorado; and numerous uncles, aunts, in-laws, and friends.
A celebration of Karl’s life will be held in the spring, when his cremains will be buried in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Lake Linden. The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.
