JoAnne Weber Obituary

Bootjack: JoAnne Weber, age 84, of Bootjack, Michigan, passed away peacefully at the Omega House on January 4, 2021, with her daughter by her side.

She was born on December 4, 1936, in Illinois, the daughter of Frederic and Clare Gagnon.  She graduated from high school in Libertyville, IL.  She worked for 45 years, administering the Hot Lunch Program at Unified School District 15 in Palentine, IL.

JoAnne was married to Francis "Curly" Weber on July 23, 1955 in Libertyville.  He passed away on September 16, 2005.

JoAnne was a great crafter and she would sew beautiful things.  She enjoyed oil painting and playing the guitar.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, and a brother-Danny.

She is survived by: a son-Randy Weber of Schaumburg, IL, a daughter-Christie (Mark) Serotzke of Bootjack; 2 grandchildren-Joseph (Jazmine) and Austin; 2 great-grandchildren-Harper-Jo and Bentley; brother-Peter Gagnon; along with nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at the Omega House and UP Health System-Portage Home Health and Hospice.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden with Fr. Joseph Boakye Yiadom to officiate.  The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the Omega House.
