Lake Linden: Janet de Leon has been welcomed home to the arms of Jesus on September 3, 2025. She was born on May 20, 1937 to Alfred William Wickstrom and Mildred Jenny (Granat) Wickstrom in Ewen, Michigan.
She was a maternity nurse, traveled the world, skilled quilter, avid lover of coffee, and a proud Finn.
She was preceded by her parents-Alfred and Mildred, her brother-James Wickstrom, and her sister-Gail Norris.
She was survived by: her sister-Maryjane (Fred) Mattson; sister-in-law-Mary Lou Wickstrom; three daughters-Scarlet (John) Berry, Lorelei (Jason) Woodcox, Hope (Tim) Albers; seven grandchildren-Michael, David, Christina (Michael), Catherine, Marina (Eric), Abe (Dorothy), Vaughn, eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was a loving, strong, proud matriarch to her family and will be greatly missed.

In accordance with Janet’s wishes, private family services will be held. The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.
