James Morin Obituary


Lake Linden: James O. "Putty" Morin, 83, resident of Canal View- Houghton County, passed away on August 24, 2022.

Jim was born on June 24, 1939, a son of Nelson and Martha C. (Miller) Morin.  He served in the U.S. Army as a veterinary food inspector.  He worked for Armstrong Theilman Lumber, the Calumet and Hecla Smelter, Allen-Bradley in Milwaukee, WI, the Lake Linden lumber yard, and was the owner of U.P. Snack Bars for the blind.
He was a member of American Legion Post 90 in Lake Linden, Saint Joseph Catholic Church and the 4th degree Knights of Columbus, and he had been a member of the LLH Sportsman's Club.  He enjoyed the company from Little Brothers of Hancock.

He is survived by: a sister-Marilyn Koski of Sheridan, WY; nephew-Dave Koski of Maplewood, MN; nieces-Amy Koski and Tracey Green of Sheridan, WY; and good friends-Paul and Lorraine Tomasi.

The Funeral Liturgy will be at 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 27, at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden with Father Joseph Boakye Yiadom to officiate.  Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until the start of the funeral on Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
