Lake Linden: Isabelle DeLisle, 102, former resident of Lake Linden, passed away at Cherrywood Nursing Center in Sterling Heights, MI on February 11, 2017.
She was born on September 21, 1914 in Calumet, a daughter of William and Mary Jane Odgers. She worked at Michigan Tech as a cook’s helper.
She was married to Tony DeLisle in 1939, he passed away in 1989.
Isabelle was a member of the Lake Linden United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She loved to sing and she was a member of the church choir for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 5 sisters, and 3 brothers.
She is survived by: 4 children-Robert (Jackie) of Bolivar, TN, Mary Lou Ettinger of Warren, MI, Dennis of Russell, KY, and Bill of Troy, MI; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister-Dorothy Moilanen, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 25, at the Peace Funeral Home in Lake Linden with Pastor Jayme Palaszeski to officiate. Lunch to follow at the Lake Linden United Methodist Church. Visitation will be on Friday, February 24, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Pearce Funeral Home. Spring Burial will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Lake Linden United Methodist Church.
