Ira "Bud" Griffin

Lake Linden: Ira “Bud” Griffin, age 82, of Lake Linden, passed away on September 21, 2015 at his home, after a long illness.
He was born on September 9, 1933 in Georgia, a son of Ira, Sr. and Eula Griffin. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years during the Korean War. Bud owned and operated the Townhouse Restaurant in Calumet and later, went to work for the Jilbert Dairy until his retirement.
He was married to Carol Gaulin in 1957 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden.
He was a member of American Legion Post 90. He liked wood working and he built two homes. He enjoyed being with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by: a son-Glen Griffin, his parents, and 2 sisters-Alice and Frances. He is survived by: his wife-Carol; a daughter-Cindy Griffin (Ray Kramer); a son-Eric Griffin; grandchildren-Katie and Jack; daughter-in-law-Suyeon; a brother John (Yvonne) Griffin; a sister-Joan Dekle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 25, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden with Fr. Francis Dobrzenski to officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 24, at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden with a Parish Prayer service at 7:30. Burial will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
