Hubbell: Harry Hainault, 81, of Hubbell, passed away on October 10, 2015 at his home after a long illness.
He was born November 27, 1933, a son of Albert and Delia (Chandonais) Hainault. He attended the St. Cecilia School and graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in 1951. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served aboard the USS Lexington. Later, he attended barber school in Detroit and he worked as a barber for 54 years. He also worked for a time at Northern Hardwoods until he retired.
He was married to Gretchen Lewis on February 6, 1960 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Hubbell.
He was a member of St. Cecilia Church until it closed. He was currently a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He also served on the Hubbell Fire Department.
Harry made maple syrup for over 50 years. He loved to fish and watch sports.
He was preceded in death by: his daughter-Claire Hendrickson, his parents, 3 brothers, and 6 sisters.
He is survived by: his wife-Gretchen; a son-Steve (Sue) Hainault; 2 daughters-Sarah (Greg) Meiser and Julie (Tony) Stenger; son-in-law-Elden (Barb) Hendrickson, Jr.; 11 grandchildren-Benji (Heather), Philip, Casey, and Aaron Hainault, Courtney and Zach Hendrickson, Alex, Elliot, and Imelia Meiser, Kari and Robert Stenger; 2 great-grandchildren-Charlie and Emily Hainault; a brother-Joe Hainault; 3 sisters-Sr. Nivard Hainault, Pat Lynch, Joan (Larry) Poissant; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 15 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden with Fr. Francis Dobrzenski to officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden with a parish prayer service at 7:00. Burial will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
