Gordon Stubenrauch Obituary

Bootjack: Gordon Franklin Stubenrauch, 84, of Bootjack, passed away at the home of his daughter on December 18, 2020. 
He was born on October 24, 1936, in Mohawk, MI, a son of Henry S. and Augusta (Gerhardt) Stubenrauch.  He attended the Mohawk School and graduated from Highland Park High School in Detroit.
He worked for Peschke Sausage Co. in Detroit.  In 1972 he returned to the Copper Country and worked for 30 years at Vollwerth's in Hancock, doing maintenance and mechanical work.
Gordon was married to Betty Mae Mackey on January 21, 1956.  She passed on October 13, 2014.
Gordon enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time outdoors with family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.
He is survived by: 2 daughters- Cindy (Darrell) Hendrickson of Hubbell and Donna Destrampe (Dave Koski); grandchildren-Jessica (Kyle) Bonini, Jared (Kelly Lindgren) Hendrickson, Jeana (Reece) Anderson, and Joshua (Danielle) Hendrickson; 4 great-grandchildren-Blake Hendrickson, Shaylynn Hendrickson, Madelyn Bonini, and Laila Hendrickson; special nephew-Dan Stubenrauch; Bootjack friends-Margaret Rheault and Jim Vanden Busch; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
At Gordon’s request, there will be no funeral service.  The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is assisting the family.
