Frederick Ernest Kesti

Bootjack: Frederick Ernest Kesti, 81, of Bootjack, went to be with the Lord on May 13, 2026.

                Frederick was born on March 9, 1945, a son of Matt and Jennie Kesti of Paavola, Michigan.  He graduated from Hancock High School, class of 1963.  He graduated from Ferris State College in 1965.  He was employed in Detroit, Michigan, Montana, Arizona, and the Copper Country area for 30 years.

                Frederick married Kathleen Roberts on October 22, 1988.  Together, they made their home in Bootjack, Michigan.

                As an avid outdoorsman, Frederick was passionate about hunting and fishing.  He was an automotive and custom car enthusiast; and he loved Harley-Davidson Motorcycles.  He was a lifetime member of the Harley Owners Group and the 50 years of Accident-Free Motorcycle Riders.  He was an original member of the Copper Country Crusaders car club.

                He was preceded in death by his wife-Kathleen; his parents; 2 brothers-Harold (Elizabeth) and Richard; and 2 sisters-Edith Isaacson and Judith (William) Anttila.

                Frederick is survived by: 3 sons-Darren (Amelia) of Kalamazoo, Warren of Bootjack, and Ryan of Bootjack; 2 grandchildren-Hailey and Dean Kesti; sister-in-law-Elizabeth; and many other relatives.

                In accordance with Frederick’s wishes, no public services will be held.  The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.
