Lake Linden – Faylene Locklear Perreault, 65, of Portsmouth, VA., formerly of Greensboro, NC, died on March 31, 2014, in Virginia.
She was born in Robeson County, NC on January 27, 1948. The family moved to Greensboro, NC when she was 5 years old where she remained through her early life and attended school. She became an employee of Norfolk Southern Railway in the police department as a commissioned police officer. When her job was eliminated in in Greensboro, she was transferred to Virginia, where she obtained the rank of police captain with the company until her retirement in 2007. After her retirement, Faye pursued her love of golf until her untimely sickness and death
She was preceded in death by: her parents-Harles and Neava Locklear of Greensboro, NC; a brother-Mitchell Locklear; and a sister-Linda Locklear Eller.
She is survived by her husband, Lionel “Tige” Perreault of Portsmouth; a son-Michael Jones of Greensboro; five sisters-Gladys Pierce (Clem) of Lumberton, Gennette Carter (Jimmy) of Ocean Isle, NC, Patsy Ann Locklear (Floyd) of Greensboro., Peggy Cooper (Durant) of Maxton; NC and Susan Locklear (Jarrod) of Maxton, NC; two brothers, James Locklear of Greensboro, Harvey Locklear (Jan) of Clayton, NC; 22 nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews in North Carolina, whom she loved and kept in touch with.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on May 23 at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden.
