Duane Jacques

Lake Linden: Duane Jacques, 63, former area resident, passed away at The Lighthouse at Hancock on July 19, 2018. 

                He was born March 9, 1955, a son of Henry and Mary Jane (Steele) Jacques.  He attended Ripley School.

                Duane worked Rinne’s in Ahmeek.  He worked as a mechanic but was known as a jack-of-all-trades.

                He enjoyed drawing, driving around, ice skating, pool, and cards.  His children were his pride and joy.  He liked to have coffee time with his friends.

                He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-Debbie Cowan.

                He is survived by: 6 children-Becky Jacques, Tracey Jacques, Barbara (Gerry) Apger, Douglas Jacques, Carrie (Jason) McNeil, and Brandy Jo (Rich) Greet; 9 grandchildren; 3 nephews; 1 niece; and numerous friends.

                His family wishes to thank the staff at UP Health System-Marquette and the Lighthouse at Hancock for their care.

A memorial service will be held but plans are not yet finalized.  The Pearce Funeral home in Lake Linden is assisting with arrangements.
