Lake Linden: Donald “Donny” Haller, 63, of Lake Linden, passed away at home on June 27, 2016, after a short Illness.

                He was born November 14, 1952, a son of Paul and Ernestine (Wareham) Haller.  He graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in 1970.

                He worked at Peninsula Products, The Lake Linden Police Department, Village of Lake Linden, Schoolcraft Township, local bars, Neil’s Taxi, and as a trail groomer.  He also served as a volunteer fireman for the Lake Linden Fire Department.

                He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion.  He liked to play cribbage and for a time, he was nationally ranked.  He liked sports, especially the Detroit Tigers and the Green Bay Packers.

                He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-Ken.

                He is survived by: 3 sons-Andy of Calumet, Steve of Lake Linden, and Patrick (Sara) of Morgan City, LA; 4 grandchildren-Bailey, Kathryn, Julia, and Danny; 2 sisters-Peggy Barkell and Marilyn Pini, both of Lake Linden; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

                The visitation will be from 1:00 until 3:00 PM on Saturday at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden.  Burial will be at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Lake Linden.

                In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for the purchase of a headstone.
