David Huuki

Lake Linden: David M. Huuki, 57, passed away at home on May 26, 2020.

He was born in Calumet on August 5, 1962.  He attended Lake Linden-Hubbell Schools and earned a master’s degree in Horticulture from Michigan State University.  He was a well-known drummer and a Master Gardener.

He was married to Sandee Monette.

He loved to fish, ride his bike, music, and gardening.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father-John Huuki and mother-Delores Huuki; sisters-Debbie Wagner and Sharon Bedore; and brother-Robert Huuki.

He is survived by: 5 children-David Huuki of Milwaukee, WI, Vanessa Maki of Lake Linden, Mathew Huuki of Lake Linden, Stephanee Monette of Eagle River, MI, and Janelle Huuki of Lake Linden; brothers-John, Joe, Charlie, and Mike Huuki; sister-Ellen Saunders; grandchildren-Isaiah and Dax of Wisconsin, Jada and Julie Kinsinger, Josiah, Urijah, and Kaliyah Maki all of Lake Linden, and Braylon Mihelich; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will have a private celebration of life at a different time.
