Connie M. Benson

Lake Linden: Connie M. Benson, 74, of Bootjack, passed away at home on Thursday, July 14, 2022. 

     She was born on May 24, 1948 in Springfield, Illinois, a daughter of Reuben and Lois Corson.  She was a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in education.  She taught elementary music at Mahomet-Seymour Elementary in Mahomet, IL for 18 years.
     

     Connie was married to John Benson on August 1, 1968.

     She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden.

     She was preceded in death by her parents.

     She is survived by: her husband-John of Bootjack; children- Arthur J. of Mahomet, IL and Anna C. (Joseph) Gregory of Montgomery, AL; a granddaughter-Brenna; a sister-Barbara (Howard) Ruddick of West Point, GA; and brother-John (Rita) Corson of Macomb, IL.

     The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Saint Joseph Church in Lake Linden with Fr. Joseph Boakye Yiadom to officiate.  Burial will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery.  The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is assisting the family.

     Memorials may be directed to the Building Fund at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden.
