Colleen Perreault Obituary

HUBBELL

Colleen (Fountaine) Perreault, age 77, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025 as the result of a stroke.  She was the eldest of seven children of Catherine (Stukel) and Gordon Fountaine.  She attended St. Cecilia School and Lake Linden-Hubbell High School.  She devoted her time to her family prior to starting a 31-year career with Lakeland Insurance in Tamarack.

Colleen is survived by her daughter, Lorie Len; son-in-law, Shawn; grandson, Matthew; estranged daughter, Mary (Thomas) Becia and family; brothers, Michael (Donna) Fountaine, Stephen (Sharon) Fountaine, James (Kristin) Fountaine, John Fountaine, and estranged brother, Timothy; brothers-in-law, Gerald (Nancy) Perreault and Clarence (Marlene) Perreault; nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Albert “Pudgy”; son, David; parents, Catherine and Gordon Fountaine; and brother, Dennis.

She was a most devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.  Like her parents before her, Colleen's door was always open for visitors.  She enjoyed walking, baking, camping, going for coffee with her girlfriends and giving away platters of cookies at Christmas, along with a jar of her thimbleberry jam.  She had many lifelong friendships that were very dear to her heart.

Colleen’s family is most grateful for the love and support from the Canal View staff over the past two years.  Your loving hearts are incredibly special.  We cannot thank you enough.

Cremation has taken place.  At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation.  Interment will be at Mount Calvary in Lake Linden at a later date.  The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.
