Clement Beaudoin Obituary

Lake Linden: Clement Beaudoin, 90, of Lake Linden, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on March 1, 2020.

                He was born on February 13, 1930, in Lake Linden, a son of Placid and Alphonse “Marie” (LeFebvre) Beaudoin.  He attended Lake Linden-Hubbell High School. 

Clement served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955 and was stationed in Germany.  He worked at the C&H smelter until they closed in 1968.  He then went to work at the CCISD until his retirement in 1997.

He was married to Dorothy Bammert on May 17, 1952 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden.

Clement was a member of Saint Joseph Church where he served as an usher.

He loved woodworking and he always had a project in the works.  One of his biggest projects was the house he built for his family.  Clem and Dorothy enjoyed many years of gardening, berry-picking, and canning together.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, infant daughter-Mary Beth, son-in-law-Kevin Ponnikas, brothers-Reuben and Theophile, sisters-Eva LaMothe, Albina Paquette, Leona Williams, Dora Spellich, Dorothy Baillargeon, and Alleen Dessellier.

He is survived by-his loving wife of 67 years-Dorothy; children-Ronald of Lake Linden, Dean of Ironwood, Karen (Kent) Maki of Lake Linden, Brenda (James) Zeigler of Ohio, Lisa (Steve) Greenlees of Hancock, Christine Ponnikas of Coburntown, and Jeffrey of Lake Linden; grandchildren-Ross, Kyle, Cody, and Cory Maki, Megan (Andy) Young, Brandon Ziegler, Noah Ponnikas, Ryan and Tyler Greenlees, Keaton Beaudoin; 3 great-grandchildren-Natalie and Madeline Maki, and Ella Young; along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden with Father Joseph Boakye Yiadom to celebrate.  At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation.  The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.
