Traprock Valley: Christine Helen Kramer, 68, of Traprock Valley, passed away on January 1, 2017 at The Lighthouse of Hancock.
She was born May 20, 1948, a daughter of William Henry ”Hank” and Tyyne (Wiitaniemi) Holman. She graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in 1966 and she attended Northern Michigan University. She worked for the Houghton County Family Independence Agency for 26 years.
Sharon was married to Edward Kramer on June 13, 1970 at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church in Hubbell.
She loved antiquing and morel mushroom picking. She enjoyed spending summers at the camp in Point Mills.
She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law, and special 4-legged companion-Joey.
She is survived by: her husband-Edward; a daughter-Stacy (Michael) Kivela of Roscoe, IL; 2 grandchildren-Maximus and Morgan; siblings-Judith (Lee) Haltunen of Lake Linden, Alfred (Joan) Holman of Laurium, Tammy (Richard) Stipe of Negaunee, sisters-and-brothers-in-law-Dorothy (Bob) O’Brien and Ray (Cindy) Kramer, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 5 at the Pearce Funeral home in Lake Linden with Pastor Jay Weidner to officiate. Friends may call for an hour before the service at the funeral home.
