Lake Linden: Cecilia Ann Racine, 82, of Lake Linden, passed away on July 22, 2016 at Crawford Continuing Care Center in Grayling.
She was born on March 1, 1934, in Copper City, a daughter of William and Cecilia Rost. She graduated from Calumet High School in 1952.
She was married to Donald Racine at St. Mary’s Church in Mohawk on May 15, 1954. They were married for 61 years when Donald passed away on April 25, 2015.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden. She enjoyed cards and Bingo. She loved the Copper Country.
She was preceded in death by: her parents and husband, a son-William, and 2 sisters-Barbra Collins and Rose Mary Crouch.
She is survived by: a son-Joseph of Grayling; a daughter-in-law-Paula Michalko; 2 grand-daughters-Regina and Sarah; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-June (Gordon) Peterson of Copper City and Kathy (Herb) Leopold of Hancock; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 27, at Saint Joseph Church in Lake Linden with Fr. Francis Dobrzenski to officiate. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM with a parish prayer service at 7:30 at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden. Burial will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery.
