Lake Linden: Catherine “Kutch” Bonanni, 89, of Lake Linden passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 27, 2015 at Our Lady of Mercy in Hubbell.
She was born on April 19, 1926, a daughter of Rudolph and Wilhemina (Sprietzer) Myers. She graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in 1944. Together, with her husband, Alfred and family, they owned and operated Al’s Supper Club and Trophy Lanes in Hubbell for 46 years.
She was married to Alfred Bonanni on November 4, 1950, he passed away on September 19, 2007.
Kutchie was a great mom and she loved taking care of her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook for her family at home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers-William, Clement, Russell, Edward ”Dutch,” and Paul, and sisters- Jean and Henrietta “Sis.”
She is survived by: 4 children-Michael (Janet) Bonanni of Marquette, Heather (Bill) Kiilunen of Lake Linden, Karen (Bruce) Destrampe of Tamarack City, and Debbie (Joe) Lajimodiere of Lake Linden; 8 grandchildren- Gregg (Kirsten) and Steven (Beth) Bonanni, Jodi and Mark Kiilunen, Scott (Kara) and Bradley Destrampe, Ted (Kim) Polen and Becky (Jim) Byrd; 13 great-grandchildren-Bryanna, Alysa, Gavin, Logan, Kayla, James, Alexa, Luc, Britlyn, Kelsey, Kaycie, Ryan, and Olivia; sister-in-law-Maxine Myers; brother-in-law-Alfred “Chap” Thomas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon on Friday, May 29, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden with Fr. Francis Dobrzenski to officiate. Visitation will be on Friday morning from 9:30 until 11:00 A.M. at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden. Burial will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
