Carol Codere

Lake Linden: Carol (Haataja) Codere, 78, of Lake Linden, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at UP Health Systems-Marquette.

                She was born on April 26, 1941, the daughter of Edward and Edna Haataja.  She was a graduate of Lake Linden-Hubbell High School.  She worked at the school food service program.

                She was married to Gerald Codere on December 12, 1959.  They enjoyed time visiting friends and being in the company of family.  Gerald passed on October 1,2014.

                Carol grew up at Little Traverse Bay and loved time spent there.  She also enjoyed time spent with the Codere family at the Gratiot Lake Camp.

                She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, and a son-Keith Codere.

                She is survived by: two grandsons-Michael (Amanda Kerttu) Codere of Mohawk and Lucas (Melanie Niemi) Codere of Lake Linden; great-grandchildren-Zander, Landen, Easton, Bryce, McKenzie, and Easton; and numerous other relatives.

                A memorial service will be held at a later date.  The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.
