Carla Marie Palosaari

Lake Linden: Carla Marie Palosaari, 58, of Lake Linden, passed away on May 13, 2022, at her home, after a short battle with cancer.

She was born on January 3, 1964, in Laurium, on a stormy night, a daughter of Carl and Carol (Barrette) Palosaari.  She grew up in Bay City and attended schools there.  She returned to Lake Linden in 1995.

Carla's great love was the Detroit Tigers.  She liked music and dancing.  She enjoyed playing games with her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father-Carl and grandparents-Reuben and Jean Barrette and Carl and Mary Palosaari.

She is survived by: her mother-Carol Heckroth of Lake Linden; 4 sisters-Cheryl Green of Kalamazoo, Carolyn Richards of Holland, MI, Heather (Tim) Young of Hudsonville, MI, and Stephanie (Chris) Monville of Auburn, MI; nieces and nephews-Justin, Jared, Courtney, Collette, and Caitlin Green, Dylan and Haley Richards, Jordyn and Paige Gradowski, Hannah, Savana, and Braden Monville; step-father-Darryl Heckroth; the Detroit Tigers, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Carla's family wishes to extend a special "Thank you" to the medical professionals that cared for Carla.

The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2:30 P.M. on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden with Fr. Joseph Boakye Yiadom to officiate.

Burial will take place at the Mt Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.  The Pearce Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be left at pearcefuneralhome.com
