BOOTJACK: Benhart John Miller, Sr., 90, of Bootjack, passed away after a short illness on Monday, April 13, 2015, at Our Lady of Mercy in Hubbell, with his wife by his side.

                Benhart was born on April 11, 1925, a son of Paul and Anna (Illka) Miller.  He attended schools in Painesdale. He owned and operated a Dairy farm on Miller Road, outside of Lake Linden.  He also worked as an auto-mechanic and a welder.  He was well-known in the Lake Linden area for his strawberries and gardening.

                Benhart was an accomplished oil painter and photographer.  Some of his work has been featured in local galleries and magazines.

                He was married to Anna Parsiala on July 1, 1950.

                He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 brothers and sisters.

                He is survived by: his wife of nearly 65 years-Anna of Our Lady of Mercy in Hubbell; 2 sons-Benhart, Jr. of Bootjack and Ricky (Martha) of Slidell, LA; 2 grandchildren-Alan and Erick; and numerous nieces and nephews.

                Private services were held with the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden in charge of arrangements.
