Agnes Louise Draves

Lake Linden: Agnes Louise Draves, 95, of Lake Linden, passed away at home on January 12, 2020, with family by her side.

                She was born on April 29, 1924, in Detroit, a daughter of August and Caroline Bushe.

                She was married to Robert H. Draves on November 9, 1946.  He passed away on August 25, 2004.

                Agnes and her husband were the proud owners of Cedar Rest Resort, a family resort on Lake Charlevoix, in East Jordan, Michigan.

                She moved into the Bluff’s in Houghton in February of 2010 and lived there until February of 2017, when she moved to her son’s home in Lake Linden.

                She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Lutheran Church in Houghton.  She was an avid reader and loved to bake.

                She was preceded in death by: her husband, brothers- Arthur and Carl Bushe, and a sister-Edith Collick.

                She is survived by: a sister-Helen Smukal of Racine, Wisconsin, and her son that she resided with in Lake Linden-Charlie (Denise) Draves and their daughter-Katie.

                Agnes received wonderful care from At Home Companions and from care-givers with Aspirus and Hospice.

                Graveside services will be held in the spring at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.  The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.
