Lake Linden: Adeline M. Barrette , 97, former resident of Lake Linden, passed away on May 12, 2015 at Our Lady of Mercy in Hubbell with her family by her side.
She was born March 13, 1918 in Drayton, North Dakota, a daughter of Henry and Melvina (Savard) Blair. She attended public schools in North Dakota.
She was married to Robert J. Barrette on November 14, 1936 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He passed away on September 3, 1991.
Adeline was a home-maker for her family, and she was a marvelous grandmother. She will be remembered for her wonderful baking and cooking.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, 6 brothers, and 5 sisters-including her twin sister-Helen Barrette.
She is survived by: 2 children-Theresa (Kenneth) Hendrickson of Lake Linden and Robert A. (Debbie) of Green Valley, AZ; 8 grandchildren-Darrell, Michael, Daniel, and Scott Hendrickson, Karen Pleshe, Greta Hendrickson, Chris and Aaron Barrette; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 16, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden with Fr. Francis Dobrzenski to officiate. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is assisting the family with arrangements. Following cremation, urn burial will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
