Eileen Mary Christina

Tamarack City: Eileen M. Christina, 93, of Tamarack City, passed away at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility on December 8, 2018. 

                Eileen was born on March 24, 1925, a daughter of Peter and Mary (Miron) Neveau.  She was a graduate of Dollar Bay High School.  She was well known in the area for her rocking horses and quilts.

                She had been a member of Saint Cecilia Catholic Church in Hubbell where she served on the Altar Society.  She was also a member of the Tamarack City Women’s Club.

                Eileen was married to Weldon LaMothe in April, 1944.  He passed away in March, 1975.  Later, she married Raymond Christina in June of 1976.   He passed in March of 1992.

                She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, a son-David, a sister-Florence “Sis” Sowka, and brother-James Neveau.

                She is survived by: 4 children-Cheryl Lariviere of Lower Michigan, Sandra (Tom) Wells of Florida, Michael (Deb) LaMothe of Minnesota, and Deborah (Dan) Meyers of North Carolina; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

                A private service is planned.  The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.
