Delores Marie Narhi

Hubbell: Delores Marie Narhi, 83, of Hubbell passed away on August 12, 2019, at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility.

                She was born April 2, 1936 in Boston Location, a daughter of Toivo and Sophie (Kaurala) Kinnunen.  She graduated from Hancock Central High in 1954.

                Delores worked for the Northern Credit Bureau in Hancock.  She was a part time care-giver, and an election worker.  She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hubbell, where she cleaned the church and taught Sunday School.  She liked to make thimbleberry jam, sewing, and puzzles.

                She was married to Reino Narhi on June 7, 1957.  He passed on February 14, 2010.

                She is survived by: 3 children-Reino G. (Roxanne) Narhi of Tamarack, Betty Narhi of Spokane, WA, and Robert (Rhianna) Narhi of Boulder, CO; 2 grandchildren-Matt Narhi and Viktoria Ramm, a brother-George; a sister-Eleanor Thompson, along with nieces and nephews.

                The funeral service will be at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, August 16, at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden, with Rev. Bryan Lundquist to officiate.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 until the time of the service.  Burial will be at the Lakeview Cemetery in Calumet.
