Corrine Fountaine

Hubbell: Corrine E. Fountaine, 82, of Hubbell, passed away on October 13, 2018, at her home, with her family by her side.

                She was born June 25, 1936, a daughter of Oliver and Hilda (Maki) Saarinen.  She attended Hancock Schools. She worked at Portage View Hospital in Hancock for many years.

                She was married to Larry Fountaine on February 27, 1954 in South Range.  He passed away on August 2, 2000.

                Corrine played softball when she was younger.  She enjoyed being outside and doing yardwork.  She loved camping trips with the family. 

                She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law-Roger, and a brother-Harold Saarinen.

                She is survived by: her daughter-Carol Martti of Hubbell, 3 grandchildren-Jon Martti of Dollar Bay, Kristine (Jose) Ramirez of Rock Hill, SC, and Robert Martti of Hubbell; 3 great-grandchildren-Giovanni, Alondra, and Landon; brothers-Raymond Saarinen, Jerome Saarinen, and Robert (Sherry) Saarinen; and many other relatives.

                At the request of Corrine, there will be no public services. The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.
