Wayne Kolmonen Obituary

Lake Linden: Wayne Jalmer Kolmonen, 77, of Lake Linden, passed away at Aspirus-Keweenaw Hospital after a battle with cancer on March 11, 2024.

He was born on December 16, 1946, a son of Walter and Martha (Lamppa) Kolmonen.

Wayne served in the US Army in Vietnam.

He enjoyed gambling, fishing, and sitting by the lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Nita and Ann.

He is survived by: a son-Brad (Emily) Kolmonen of Lake Linden; a daughter-Jamie; fiancé-Suzie Pomroy of Lake Linden; sisters-Beverly Cope, Bonnie Christopher, and Janet Sevon; a brother-Terry Kolmonen; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of his life will be planned for later this summer. The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.
