Rose Marie Bammert

Lake Linden: Rose Marie Bammert, 81, of Lake Linden, passed away at Aspirus-Keweenaw Hospital on December 29, 2023, following a short illness.

                She was born on June 22, 1942, a daughter of Raymond and Mary Rose (Vincent) Perreault.  She graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in the class of 1960.

                Rose Marie worked in the Friend of the Court office in the Houghton County Courthouse for nearly 3 decades, retiring as Friend of the Court in 2005.

                She was married to Gordon Bammert on December 2, 1961, at the Saint Joseph School Chapel in Lake Linden. 

                Rose Marie loved baking.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.

                She was preceded in death by: her parents and a brother-Joseph Perreault.

                She is survived by: her husband-Gordon Bammert; 5 children-Linda (Tom) Althaus of Saginaw, MN, Carl (Kay) of Marquette, Scott (Danielle) of Gwinn, Cheryl (Marc) Lefebvre of Medina, OH, and Mark (Kristen) of Calumet; 9 grandchildren-Marisa, Rachel, Matthew, Amanda, Ethan, Samantha, Ben, Sam, and Josh; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 sister-Yvonne (Jim) Kaura of Mohawk; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

                The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden.  The visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 2, at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden.
